Dave Williams made a
presentation on Vessels of Illusion where the lids for hollowed vessels
are inside the vessel, but are larger than the opening of the vessel.
Jim Clow demonstrated
the popular camera system used with vessel hollowing tools.

If the City approves the
removal of the elm trees across the street from the old train
depot, the
club agreed to do the removal process in order to have access to the wood.
Discussions were held on additional meetings each month on basic training
and segmented turning.
Butch Lindsey from Tuttle presented a
class on wood characteristics and the basic turning tools
of the roughing
gouge,
parting tool, spindle gouge, skew, and scraper. He also demonstrated
how to turn a picture or rough sketch
of a spindle into a more detailed drawing with dimensions.
